ZGR3(XRNT5) -15.5H.V. current-limiting back-up fuse for short-circuit protection of oil-immersed transformer (here-under fuse) is available for H.V.indoor electric system, with rated voltage 15.5Kv,rated current up to 175A,50Hz a.c.. It is used for protecting from short-circuit for poower transformer.It can offer protection of all-round together in series with ZGR4 (PRNT13)-15.5 H.V. fuse for overload protection of oil-immersed transformer.

◆Construction

The fuse is a bolt connection structure
The fuse is composed of melt, melt tube, cap, quartz sand, skeleton, sealing ring, etc. The melt is processed from pure silver into a high-precision tape with variable cross-section. The melt is wound on the skeleton in an orderly manner and placed in the melting tube, which is filled with quartz sand as the arc extinguishing medium. In order to adapt to the use of immersion in transformer oil, a sealing ring is used between the cap and the melting tube, and the oil-resistant, high-temperature adhesive is used for bonding, and two sealing lines are set to ensure reliable sealing.


◆Installation, use and maintenance of fuse

Recommended horizontal installation of the fuse

When the fuse is broken, it must be replaced with a new fuse with the same model size and parameters. Do not replace it with other devices. When replacing the fuse, it is normal to find that the fuse tube of the fuse turns yellow.
For three-phase fuses installed, unless it has been confirmed that only one of the fuses has undertaken the fault current, even if one fuse operates, the other two should be replaced.
The rated current of the fuse is 175A. When the user needs a larger current level, it is recommended to use a double pin fuse. At the same time, when using Shuangpin, the mutual influence factors of temperature should be considered. Generally, the fuse should be reduced by 10%-20%.
